What’s Hot and What’s Not in Web 2.0

What’s Currently Hot: Google Docs

“Google Docs is a free, web-based office suite offered by Google within its Google Drive service. It was formerly a storage service as well, but has since been replaced by Google Drive. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating with other users live.”[i]

The greatest benefit of Google Doc is that the application isn’t linked to one specific computer; accessibility to the documents via Google Docs can be obtained through any computer, tablet, laptop, or smartphone that is connected to the internet. Users have the ability to save and access information from anywhere in Google’s clouding system (Google Cloud, which is also hot).
